The History of Karangasem End Park
The Sukada park tourist attraction, also known as Taman Ujung Water Palace by foreign tourists, is a garden tourist attraction owned by the ancient Balinese kingdom that was built by the King of Karangasem, specifically during the reign of I Gusti Bagus Jelantik, who holds the title of Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. This tourist park was built around 1901 and was given the initial name "Swimming Dirah," which means "a dumping ground." Interestingly, the pool is also a dumping ground (for people with black magic). And to assist in the development of this dirah pool as a resting place for the king and royal family of Karangasem Bali, as well as a hermitage location and to entertain royal guests. Not only that, the construction process of Soekasada Park was also assisted by Balinese architects from the Karangasem kingdom. The process of construction and renovation of Ujung Soekasada Park was only completed in 1921.
